Celebrity moms are just like us - except, you know, richer and more famous - and sometimes they have some great advice to give. Here’s what Kate Hudson, Kelly Preston & Kyra Sedgwick had to say:

Kate Hudson, 28 - Mom to Ryder Russell, 4 (dad to Ryder is her ex-husband Chris Robinson):

Make sure to take time for yourself every day. Even if you have to lock yourself in the bathroom for two minutes, do it. It’s our nature as women to take care of everything and forget about ourselves. It’s important to be present and strong for your kids, and to do that, you need some breathing space.

Kelly Preston, 45, actress and is the wife of John Travolta and they have two children - Jett, now 15, and Ella, 7½:

There’s nothing better than singing and dancing with your kids. It spreads the joy around the house. I’m also a fan of family bike riding, swimming, art projects and trips to Denny’s and Wal-Mart.

Kyra Sedgwick, 42, and stars in The Closer’s, is mom of two - Travis, 18, and Sosie, 16, and married to actor Kevin Bacon:

Raising children, for me, was really about listening. I put myself in their shoes for a minute and really tried to imagine myself at that age. I always want my children to know that they’re heard.

These are three celeb moms who really do sound like the rest of us (kinda) - I picture them as ‘hands on’ moms sans nannies!

Tips on how to connect with your pre-teens and teenagers.

by Aurelia Williams

As the parent of a pre-teen or teenager, you may long for the days when you could hold your child on your lap and they were eager to talk, laugh, and play with you. Those days may be long gone, but you can still find ways to connect with your teen. Here are a few tips to make process easier.

Talk About Your Past Experiences
If your teen is having a problem, they may think they are the only one in the world who has ever had that particular problem. Talk to your teen about the situations you experienced as a teen. The clothes and music may have changed, but you still dealt with peer pressure, sex, drugs, and homework. Let them know you understand and will be there for them, if they want to talk about their problem.

Express An Interest
Make time for your teen, and express an interest in what they are doing. You don’t need to use this time to lecture them, or even talk. You can simply sit and watch their favorite show or listen to their favorite band. Try not to pass judgment or criticize anything. Just make time to “hang out”. Your teen will appreciate your interest and this will help develop open lines of communication.

Let Them Know When You Are Wrong
It is hard to admit when you are wrong, especially to your children. However, admitting your mistakes, and apologizing if necessary, will strengthen your bond with your child. It will also let them know that it is okay to admit the things they have been wrong about.

Let Them Know You Love Them
They may roll their eyes and shrug whenever you say “I love you”, but they do care, and they like to hear it.

Go For A Drive
Ask your teen to take a drive with you. You don’t have to have any particular place in mind, just start driving. The simple fact that you are in the car can help open up a conversation, and since you are not looking each other in the eye, it may be easier for your teen to talk to you.

Take Turns Listening And Speaking
Make a deal with your teen that when you are having a conversation, only one person can speak at a time. If you are speaking, your teen needs to sit and listen. When it is your teen’s turn to speak, show them the same respect and listen to what they are saying.

While your goal is to have a better relationship with your teen, you still need to set boundaries and let them know that you are the parent. Teens may complain about rules, curfews, and chores, but secretly, they like the fact that you care enough to set them in the first place.

Fashion is a manner of communicating your inner self through clothes. Apparel frequently symbolizes a specific style or era and each year fashion designers attempt to contribute and produce new trends that can depict the time of the present year and hopefully create a milestone in history forever.

There are numerous fashion styles through, which we remember a time period. Those fashions constantly live on since they were highly successful and frequently in a classic way which perpetually was and will be everlasting.

There are numerous of us who desire to put on what is in fashion at any expense; not only in the current year but every single season: spring, summer, fall and winter. Nevertheless, there is one matter we do not hesitate to look at, which the most significant affair in fashion is: does the fashion style accommodate us.

How Do You Recognize If a Fashion Style Becomes You?

It is really uncomplicated; clothes are normally fashioned with varied types of silhouettes in mind and despite the fact that we are no fashion models from the runway, we must contemplate the following prior to selecting a fashion style: height, weight and skin tone. All things in fashion is chosen to match and put forward a individual’s quality characteristics forward and in order for you to put yours, you essentially need to be conscious of your body and skin tone.

Your height and weight will decide whether you should pick out fashion styles that apply short or long skirts or dresses as each one can accentuate a aspect of your body. Your skin tone will define what color clothes you should select and that as well is instantly connected to fashion styles as some designers make particular colors only.

It is significant you be your own judge and friend in order that you will be capable of picking out the most effective fashion styles that will bring out your best characteristics and hence, give you your money’s worth. What benefit is there to wear something that is the newest fashion yet does not accommodate your style and identity?

Should You Break with Fashion Rules?

Fashion styles should exclusively be picked for your tastes since you appear good in them and not because they are in style at the moment. Also always be mindful that if you cannot have on the in style fashion design since you find it absurd, you can always wear something classic as it is perpetually in style and it accommodates everybody without exception. If you do not recognize what colors to wear for a crucial fashion meeting, always stick with black and white as they are classic and constantly in style.

Every organization needs Promotional Products to create a unified, professional look for the workplace and to use as Corporate Gifts. Uniforms and office items are a must, but when choosing Promotional Items to give away, what message should they convey? As climate change concerns skyrocket, there is one easy way to show that your business is committed to the solution and that through environmentally-conscience Promotional Gifts. Using environmentally friendly promotional products will help you and your business do your part to save the world.

‘Eco-friendly’ or ‘Environmentally friendly’ means that their products pose no harmful effects on the environment or its inhabitants. This includes the methods being used to produce merchandise. Unlike petroleum-based (traditional) plastics, biodegradable plastic does not produce greenhouse gases as it is formed because it is made from plant fibers. Since the aim to have as little affect on the earth as possible, these companies ensure that all products are made in a way that avoids clear-cutting forests, wasting water, using insecticides, burning fossil fuels, etc. They support the use of eco friendly products and encourage others to pave the way for a brighter, cleaner future.

Did you know that a plastic beverage bottle takes roughly 450 years to decompose? Take a look at the numbers found by the U.S. National Park Service:

Across the globe, businesses are taking the initiative to become more environmentally conscious in almost every aspect of their operation. To help reduce negative impacts on the environment, businesses are now turning to eco-friendly promotional products as a wholesome marketing solution. Choosing these products is not as difficult as it sounds. You don’t need to make-over your staff with organic hemp clothing or spend a fortune on hybrid delivery trucks, it can start with simple choices.

Many online promotional product distributors offer a selection of environmentally friendly products. For example, InkHead.com recently adds recycled and Earth Friendly EcoSmart product line. Here are some great Promotional Products that will show your company’s commitment to the environment, without breaking the bank:

Re-usable Water Bottles: Have your logo added to Nalgene-type bottles and hand them out to employees and customers. Encourage everyone to refill their bottles instead of purchasing new water bottles every time.

Insulated Coffee Mugs: Using re-usable coffee mugs as promotional products is a great way to ensure your marketing message and logo travels everywhere your employees and customers do. Not only will you gain exposure, you’ll also get recognition as a company who is concerned about the future of the earth. Adding an inspirational message about “going green” in addition to your logo is also a great idea.

Tote Bags: There has recently been a lot of media-hype around the flood of plastic grocery bags in city landfills. Considering the lengthy time (20 years) it takes for bags to break down, Tote Bags are a healthy solution for the earth. Offer them to customers with purchases or sell them as your own brand. Your bags will be used for years, if not decades to come. You can turn any shopper into your own billboard, by having your logo and personal message added.

There are many great ways to reduce negative effect of modern industries on the earth. As environmental concern rises, cater to your conscience customers by showing you are dedicated to positive solutions, one step at a time.

Many people, including teenagers these days, seem to spend a lot of their time on the internet. Socializing online has become a normal thing to do. Whilst it is great to have all this new technology at your fingertips, sometimes the simple things in life, which often work the best, get overlooked, like the ability to really relate on a person to person level. Face to face communication is a necessary part of every day life, but how many people actually realize how important these interpersonal skills really are? If developing these skills can make the difference between keeping an important relationship happy and committed, or losing it through ignorance, then these skills do indeed become very valuable.

It is a rather unfortunate trend these days that personal relationships seem to suffer through lack of time spent on them, partners are busy working and it is too easy to neglect these important close liaisons. Relationship help is one of the biggest search terms on the internet today as people are looking to find ways to make their relationships more meaningful and connected.

Relationship help can be as simple as learning a few skills which you can easily apply in day to day situations which will create almost magical results. Even teenagers can benefit from learning some of these skills as they are starting to explore the realms of dating.

Here are some professional secrets that will begin to resurrect any relationship that has been having challenges or will help you to develop a brand new one!

1. Really listen the next time somebody is talking to you. Give them your full attention and do not get distracted by something else. Other people generally pick up from your body language if you are really interested in what they are saying.

2. After you have listened to them, wait three seconds before you reply. It may sound a rather strange thing to do, but you will not run the risk of interrupting the other person if they have just paused to take a breath! Additionally, it will give the other person the impression that you have really heard what they are saying and are thinking about it before you respond. You will come across as a caring person who is interested in other people and you, as a result, will become more popular!

Everybody has a favorite subject they like to talk about and it is usually about themselves, so if you are interested in them as well, they will think you are a really nice person!

3. When you are in conversation with others, ask them questions. Once again it will give the impression that you are really interested in their life.

Many people make the mistake of talking about themselves too much. Of course you are an expert in your own life, but if your goal is to become closer to others, particularly your special intimate relationships, you must reach out and make that other person feel special. So there are three brief secrets for relationship help.

The sooner you apply these three secrets, the easier it will become to start to have positive and happy relationships!
Your lovely little baby has now turned into a lovely toddler, one problem though… He won’t sit still or worst he runs off every chance he gets. What’s a mom to do when your toddler is on the loose?

Here are a few recommendations for keeping your toddler close.

Action = Consequence - at this age your toddler won’t really understand a long winded explanation about why running off is dangerous. Instead use simple commands and show your toddler through actions that if he runs off there is a consequence, ie. He has to sit in the stroller or hold your hand.

Once you take the decision make sure you stick to it, even if it unfortunately means dealing with a small (or big) tantrum. This will teach your toddler through actions that running of is unacceptable and hopefully he won’t do it again. If he does simply repeat the process until he stops.

Give him Freedom – That may sound like a contradiction to the above but your toddler does need a certain amount of freedom to learn and help establish her limits. Choose a safe place away from busy roads and that isn’t too crowded and allow your child to walk next to you on her own. Simply explain “mommy is going to let you walk next to her on your own like a big girl but you must stay close.” If she does run off give her one warning and if she does it again follow through with the above consequence.

Slowly your toddler should begin to understand that if she stays close to you she can have a certain amount of freedom and be a “big girl”.

Reward your Toddler – Every time your toddler manages to walk next to you without running off reward him. Show him how pleased you are of him by giving him a big hug and smile. As well as the negative consequences it’s important to remind your toddler how proud you are of his achievements and after all walking next to you for a few minutes is a big achievement for a toddler, so reward it.

5 tips that you definitely need to know when you’re starting your search for a work at home job.

1) NEVER, EVER PAY FOR A JOB. Be very careful with this. Legitimate employers will not ask you for money. If you are looking to start a business (for example: Mary Kay, Usborne Books, Watkins etc.) you may have to pay for a set up fee, but this is to cover your kit that you will receive to start your own business. Some companies, however, ask for a start up fee when really all you will be selling is the “opportunity” for someone else to join that same company.

2) DO YOUR RESEARCH. Make sure you research the company everywhere possible. Check them out on the Better Business Bureau, the RipOff Report, ask other moms on message boards their experiences and anywhere else you can get some information on the company. Make sure that you also know what you are buying if you are starting your own business. Know what your “kit” consists of (if anything). There are millions of scams on the internet so be exactly sure of what company you are joining.

3) DETERMINE YOUR LIKES AND DISLIKES. If you hate selling things – stay away from direct sales companies. If you don’t wear makeup – don’t sell cosmetics! Many people do not consider any of this and jump into the first opportunity that sounds too good to be true. Find out what you love to do and go from there. Make a list of all the pros and cons to find out what will suite you the best. You’ll have a lot easier time making money if you are loving your job!

4) KNOW WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL REQUIRE. Many people jump into anything just to work from home and don’t have a clue how much time and effort it will take for them to succeed. Know what the company requires of you or how many “parties” you’ll have to do in order to make the kind of money that you want. Know what type of commissions you’ll earn and what it will take to earn the amount you’re looking for. You may be surprised how hard or easy it is to make the amount you’d like.

5) IT CAN TAKE A LONG TIME TO FIND A JOB. If you’re looking for a “job” instead of an “opportunity”, it can take many months to find one. Start looking around on the internet as soon as you decide exactly what you’d like to do. A few legitimate job sites on the internet today are liveops.com, alpineaccess.com and workingsol.com. Another good place to look for work at home jobs is CraigsList.com. Be patient and be optimistic! If you are truly determined to find a work at home job, you will.

Red High Heels can bring a touch of adventure, a punch of pizzazz or a hint or romance to our style. Whether you’re like me and love Red High Heels or are just looking to shake things up a little, nothing can make you feel quite as happy as the perfect pair of Red High Heels.

by Tammy Gibson

“Whoa!” Chris said, after pulling himself together. At a party during the holidays I had just mentioned to Chris that my husband had given me a pair of Red High Heels for Christmas. “Heather,” he called to his wife, “we’re going shopping for shoes.”

Red High Heels. What is it about them that can reduce powerful, intelligent men to speechless Neanderthals? As we all know, men are what they are. But even women are affected by Red High Heels. My husband told Patricia, a co-worker, about the Red High Heels. Her comment, “Wow! That’s hot. Tell me more.”

Red High Heels can bring a touch of adventure, a punch of pizzazz or a hint or romance to our style. Whether you’re like me and love Red High Heels or are just looking to shake things up a little, nothing can make you feel quite as happy as the perfect pair of Red High Heels.

Wearing Red High Heels gives women self-confidence and will help us overcome our inhibitions as well as helping us to be seductive and alluring. There is something glamorous about Red High Heels that can transform our lives. Red is the sexy color – as in red hot. Red High Heels have magical powers.

In an interview outside Manolo Blahniks in New York, businessmen were asked their opinion of Red High Heels. “I think women who wear them must have a tremendous amount of authority,” offered guy #1, “I’m less inclined to believe that a woman in a heel is passive.” Guy #2 was more specific, “I think that somehow heels give a woman identity.” How about that? Stunning revelations from two normal guys.

Is there any romance associated with sneakers, comfy flats or practical shoes? Hardly. For me, a well-crafted Red High Heel is one of those objects like a champagne glass – its mere presence holds the promise of magic. High heels, like champagne flutes, connote the best in life. Seduction. Dancing. Celebration. When you hear Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blanik you don’t think of sneakers. You think HOT shoes.

Women love Red High Heels because they make our legs look longer and more shapely. They add more curve to our rear ends and make our breasts more pronounced, and they get us lots of attention from both sexes

Men love Red High Heels because they make our legs look fantastic. They represent both power and frailty at the same time, and the bad girl/fashion model look is always good.

Let’s really be honest here. Red High Heels are about sex. They are erotic and feminine and extravagant without being vulgar. They represent haughty independence. You can kill a man (figuratively speaking of course) with the right pair of Red High Heels – spikes go straight to the brain. Even the word “stiletto” sounds sexy.

Red High Heels are not the most practical invention every created. So why do we wear them? Simple, they make us sexier. They bring us confidence in our own sexuality.

Due to the forced sensual shape of the foot when wearing a Red High Heel (studies have shown that the shape of a women’s foot in a high heel more than resembles the shape of her leg and foot during sexual arousal), such shoes hold an appealing place in the mind of the female wearer.

And probably more so in the mind of the male admirer.

When other women look at my feet in Red High Heels, they ask such things as “But Tammy, what about knee pain, back problems, chronic foot pain? UH… What about the extra 4 inches that allows me to look down on the world? What about the fact that Red High Heels make my husband frisky? What’s a little spinal degeneration compared to getting lucky with the man I love?

Whatever it is, get yourself a pair of Red High Heels, when you find a pair that makes you blush, you’ve found the right ones. Put them on and look in the mirror, and if the shoe fits…
